Feng Shui is Janine’s passion!

Even as a child I was very perceptive with a seemingly uncanny intuition regarding places and people. Like a lot of 'sensitive' children I could see and feel energies - sometimes in the form of people, at other times a 'knowing' would emerge about a situation, apparently out of the blue. And like many 'sensitive' youngsters experience taught me to keep my intuitions and insights to myself - for when I did otherwise I was labelled 'different!'

This didn't stop me using these abilities in my adult life however. I started and ran several successful commercial enterprises and continue to maintain a thriving company - the ongoing success of which I attribute to the principles of Feng Shui.

I became interested in Feng Shui many years ago as a result of one aspect of my business which involved going into clients homes. Time and again I found my intuition firing up,giving me insights into the lives of the householders. Making a strong connection to the energy of the space I seemed to know where blockages were or could discern the root of unhappiness in a home. At this stage it was not appropriate to discuss these perceptions in the course of my everyday business.

But it sparked a desire to learn more and led me to discovering the fascinating world of Feng Shui. It has been a passion I have followed for 11 years now and one which inspires me to seek continuous in-depth study. I have had the good fortune of attending courses and workshops by many notable teachers in the field of Feng Shui such as:

On a personal development level and to further enhance my professional skills I have undertaken studies in:

• Reiki Levels I & II (Tracy Gibbons, Life and Balance)

Richard Ashworth says that, for him, Feng Shui is, "frankly, part magic, part ritual, part love" and I agree! My professional journey has certainly been a magical mix of intuition and classical learning. It has led to a consultation practice that has gained an excellent reputation for providing a compassionate, confidential service which produces effective results. Common sense combined with my intuitive ability to access keen and quick insights means I offer a very practical application of Feng Shui principals. My clients are often busy people who want to see results. They are sometimes very surprised at how quickly Feng Shui applied in the home or business achieves this.

During the consultation process I use an eclectic blend of approaches all underpinned by sound classical understanding and tailored to each clients individual needs. Amongst the tools in my Feng Shui toolkit that I might employ are:

• Ba Zi
• 9 Star Ki Astrology
• Flying Stars using a Lu Pan
• Auspicious Dates
• I Ching Detection of geopathic stress by dowsing Energy healing
• Space clearing.

The intuitive side of my practice is less easy to list but no less useful than the other tools. A typical example is when, during a business consultation, I just 'knew' a valued member of staff was about to resign. The owner was naturally upset when I told him. But the warning enabled him to pre-plan a package so that when the staff member did try and leave he was convinced to stay by the new employment offer. And he was also made aware of his value to the company.

Consultation fees vary depending on the type of service required, whether it is for residential or business and if there are travel costs to consider. I have worked all over the UK and Europe gaining considerable expertise and knowledge.

I apply the principles of Feng Shui to every area of my own life and have seen the seemingly miraculous results. Possibly one of the more dramatic of which involved convincing my legal representative to follow my instructions during a legal issue. It involved using auspicious dates to action correspondence etc. She did and was delighted when the case worked out in my favour beyond even her expectations.

When I am not working or attending seminars and conferences I indulge my hobby of photography and am a member of the Royal Photography Society. I love to walk with Murphy (my lovable Spaniel) along the sea near my home. I live with four cats and am also fond of my Koi carp - with their pond placed in just the right area to enhance good fortune - of course!
